Use & Care:

  • Before Cooking: Apply vegetable oil to the cooking surface and pre-heat slowly.
  • Cooking Tips: Use low to medium heat for most applications. A vegetable oil coating is ideal for frying or searing.
  • Avoid Dishwasher: Do not wash in the dishwasher as it will strip the seasoning and cause rust.
  • Cleaning: After cooking, clean with a nylon brush or sponge and hot water. Towel dry immediately and apply a light coating of oil while still warm.
  • Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Avoid thermal shock by not putting a hot pan into cold water.
  • Handle Care: Cast iron gets very hot during use; always use oven mitts or pot holders.

Cleaning & Care:

  • Hand Wash Only: Wash by hand with a nylon brush or sponge and hot water. Use a pan scraper for stuck-on bits.
  • Gentle Detergent: You can use a little detergent, but too much may wear away the seasoning.
  • Sticky Situations: For extra sticky situations, simmer a little water for 1 minute, then use the scraper after cooling.
  • Dry Thoroughly: Dry promptly and thoroughly with a lint-free cloth or paper towel.
  • Protect from Rust: Rub with a very light layer of cooking oil while the cookware is still warm. Hang or store in a dry place.
  • Avoid Dishwasher: Do not wash in the dishwasher as it will destroy the seasoning and cause rust.
